BIG PROBLEM PLEASE HELP
Ok, the fuel filter is in the gas tank of the D2. Usually D1 owners need to replace it. For the ACE, look at you power steering tank. Does it have one or two caps on it? Two caps means you have ACE.
Your radiator hose came off because of age, hoses and clamps go bad over time. Replace ALL hoses and clamps every 5 years no matter the miles.
You are loosing coolant, you probally have a bad headgasket and it let compression gases into the cooling system and over pressurized it blowing the hose off because of a weak clamp.

i am going to order the full hose kit from roverparts.com am also going to bleed the system and add new coolant what do you guys think should i replace the thermostat?
Hell yes.. if you are going through the trouble of doing all that..
For the love of god.. finish the job..
You want to rule out all the possiblities,
If its still using fluid after that..
You will need to look at the Head Gaskets

Try snugging up the bolts on the valve cover
