Default BIG RED is no more

After 5 years and over 40k miles Big RED is no more. No more driving playing the game of turning on the A/C on seeing the temp gauge rise on the Ultra Gauge. No more ticking engine. No more looking underneath to see if the leaks has gotten worse. No more..... She has been traded in on a 2006 LR3 HSE. Big Red is dead long live Quicksilver!

I too grabbed an 06 HSE for my wife the other day. Mine does have the rear diff. Super clean under 100K for 10K. 99% of all the other LR3's were SE's no NAV, no rear AC, or some weren't even V8's.

First mod I did was cut off the turtle shell looking resonator. That 4.4L V8 sounds amazing! Congrats on the LR3.

I got it home!!!

I dove into it this morning and the pathetic TCM had one connector with some light goo on it. I used to worry about a D1/D2 in a car wash. Those days are now officially over! Hell a D1/D2 in a carwash = you might get wet. An LR3 in a car wash = the **** is about to hit the fan and you'll be walking home....

I cleaned the barely dirty connection and so it was fine on the test drive this morning. But that TCM location and setup is not something that should be on a LR!! More like a Yugo! Cheapest thing I have ever seen!

Our d2 was driving behind an LR3 last year and all of a sudden there was a coolant trail and that was all she wrote.

I don't know if I'll ever want an LR3
