hey guys just wonderin if any of u have bilsteins on ur trucks and how u like them compared to the oe shocks.im doin my 04 soon and would appriciate any insight.also doin the steering dampnerthanx

 

The company as a whole is great, the short comings though on a Discovery is, they are shorter the a factory shock and their,"Lifetime Warranty, is hell to get covered.
I would suggest you go with the new OME Sport shocks, well tested and proven and a little longer for those lifts.

 

OME is great for enthusiast but they are not for those who want a comfy ride.

 

What would you reccomend for a comfy ride? Mine aren't in dire need of changing, but when the time comes, I'd like to know what to get. Thanks in advance!

 

I totally disagree with that statement, as heavy as our trucks are and especially with warn out factory coils, you need a strong shock to control the ride.

 

I'm talking more about springs I guess as they control the stiffness. I'm not saying the truck does not drive better but even with medium OME springs you will get a nice jar over every little bump if you have no weight in the back. I have a 90lb toolbox in the back and it makes a bit of a difference. I don't think a soccer mom would appreciate that.

 

you will get a stiff ride with bilsteins....

 

i have bilsteins on now and they suck. the PO put them on. i ordered a TerraFirma kit but its MIA.

 

bilsteins are great shocks the problem is most people just buy off the shelf you need the right setup to get the ride you're looking for...

 

thanx guys im just really looking for somthing confortable because i drive 120 miles a day in my 04 just not sure what to get ive driven other trucks with bilsteins and it was a comfy ride thats why im askin about them
