Default Black rubber dressing that actually lasts

Does it exist? I have bought your average stuff at auto parts stores and they all work for about one day, then grey again. Does anyone make a product that will actually stay black for a decent length of time?

Mother's Back to Black has worked well on my bikes.

WipeNew is the best, but highly toxic. Don't smell it, wear gloves.

This stuff is pretty awesome. I have been using it for a few weeks. Dry to touch and does not wash off because it is a ceramic coating.

Good stuff and thanks. I will try the ceramic first, then move to the highly toxic if that fails.

That ceramic stuff looks pretty cool, I'm going to have to try that.

I've been using this CarGuys stuff for a couple of years, works way better for me than Back to Black:

I've also used their cleaner a lot, love it:

Here's a junk yard bumper that I cleaned up a couple weeks ago using the CarGuys stuff and microfiber towels, came out pretty nice:

Thanks,

Sean.

Hmm, I'm reading the Amazon reviews for the Cerakote stuff, seems pretty permanent. I think I'll stick with the CarGuys stuff for now. I put it on a couple times a year, good enough for me.

I read the reviews as well and have second thoughts. I do think when reading reviews like that in most cases its applied wrong. Curious how durable the CarGuys stuff is. Thats been my issue with Mothers and other black treatments, they all look great for 72 hours then nothing.

I decided to try a few coatings to more permanently have the plastic look new. My first coating was Line-X. Expensive, looks good but the ultra coating peeled off some parts within a couple of months. One week for battery, fuse covers. Stayed on the door handles and fenders fine strangely, so far.
I tried Herculiner thanks to, believe it was cvhyatt recommended...it’s been excellent so far on covers in the engine bay, no peeling and has a better more even look than the very expensive Linex Ultra. Probably will end up doing all the trim with Herculiner.

Some pics of the herculiner would be nice. I tend to like the smoothness of the stock trim look, so not sure I would like the herculiner if it has a rough finish.
