Default Black wet areas forming on passenger and rear passenger carpet

Any ideas as to what this could be? Some line that runs down the left side of the truck?

I noticed today while changing my fuel filter there there was a slight drip by the rear passenger door. I then went to vacuume the truck and found the passengers carpet was wet and the REAR passengers carpet was really wet and almost black.

What could this be?

That is mold.
Either you have a leak somewhere or the a/c drains are clogged and overflowing into the passenger cabin.

If the A/C lines are clogged, it's an easy fix. From under the truck, on the left and right of the trans there are two small pyramid-shaped rubber boots extending down from the body (about 3/8" square at the base). Give the little boots a squeeze or two, maybe even some pinches. If the lines are clogged and you've run the A/C lately, you'll get wet. Good luck.

That's what I'm thinkin'

The a/c drainlines are on each side of the console, forward of the shifter.

Sunroof drains leaks are not uncommon, (plugging usually, I think)

Spence, do a search for "leaking sunroofs"

check both, they are both at least partially if not fully clogged. your AC drains and your sunroof drains.

headliner sagging? now would be the time to do that as well, then you can get to the other side of the sunroof drains.

It is also common to get water leaking in from the rear door. That was the case on my Discovery. Here is a post that details the easy fix.
