I have read all about how to bleed the air out of coolant and It still has air in it. I try lifting the expansion tank every morning and it seems to be bled and when I drive it sounds of air in the heater core.I have done this with my other disco but this one is being stubborn. I have tried elevating the front and then try and I still cant get the air out. I recently changed the thermostat and flushed the heater core to get my heat back workin and it is, but just cant get the air out. Any suggestions thanks, Brent

 

Remove the cap from the overflow tank.
Idle the engine with the heater on until the engine reaches temp and then rev to 2000 rpm and hold it there for a few min.
Replace the cap and then shut it off.
Drive as normal and see if the sound goes away.

Are you loosing coolant?
If you have a leak you will never get rid of the noise.

when in doubt start hitting things with a hammer

 

Thats usually what I do it just doesnt always work for me. I can always tear up more than I can fix

 

thats when duct tape comes in to play

 

If I took that approach I wouldn't have much of a Land Rover left.

 

I know these things will sure make you mad sometimes but I still like them

 

One thing that you can probably try with regard to your coolant bleeding problem is to slightly raise the front of your truck. You can use a bottle jack, floor jack, ramps, or even 2x4's under the front tires.

 

Ive tried to park it on car ramps for the night and it doesnt work for me. Its the hardest one to get the air out of. But thanks
