Default bleeding power steering pump

I'm having a difficult time bleeding the power steering pump after installing a replacement pump.

I've set up 1/4" tubing to from the bleeding nipple back to the reservoir. Still getting large amounts of bubbles. I went cheap Chinese Amazon on this. Could the back cover not have a good seal and it is pulling in air. Extint thinks that may be it. Looks to not be leaking from either of the connections or anywhere else in the line.

Thoughts?

I haven’t heard anything good about the Chinese ps pumps. I rebuilt my original one and had no issues with air.
