Question Blown Head Gasket.. again

So it started chirping and now this.. It overheated on me really bad to the point it shut down the motor and black smoke came into the cab of the truck...

Is it worth trying to fix or replace the whole motor??

Youll need to do some more diagnostics on the engine to determine that. Pull the heads and have a look .

Before you pull the heads, see if it will start. Listen to it, check the oil pressure. Sometimes when you overheat them so bad they turn off you hurt them bad.

It runs but is very weak.. chirps like hell and is now making a muffled popping sound..

Compression test? What kind of diagnostics? It's only the left side so maybe I can have the head shaved or could the block be warped..

Check the oil pressure, if it is ok I would start pulling the heads. Very low probability block or heads are warped.

A compression test would be a good idea but from the looks of it you need to pull the head. I was referring to see what you got after you pull the head before making a decision on what to do.

"It overheated on me really bad to the point it shut down the motor and black smoke came into the cab of the truck"

How exactly does this happen and you not shut it off?
Even the stock gauge should of given a clue well before this point of catastrophe.
