Default Bolt measurements for new drive shafts

Hello, the new Tom Woods just came in today. What are the measurements for the bolts I should get?

Thank you

Measure or use your old ones as a guide.

Not sure about Tom Woods specifics but after I rebuilt mine I reused the original bolts without problem. Not to mention you can't get the 4 bolts off the t-case side without much more unnecessary disassembly. I did get 8 new nuts from the dealer though.

It's all good, went to local hardware store and purchased Grade 8 3/8-24 x 1 1/2 bolts.

Slightly off topic, but did you provide measurements to Tom Woods? They asked me to measure from the transfer case to the differential flange. Seems all Disco IIs would be the same (or really close)...

But it would be nice to have measurements from others (to at least confirm I'm measuring the right section).

Thanks.

Yes, TW requires a measurement before ordering. Mine was 24 3/4 but apparently every Disco is different as TW claims. When mine arrived, it was about 23 1/2, it was confirmed by many on this board that the slip joint would compensate for the mis-measurement.

I purchased the bolts just in case but Thom from the Chicago LR club suggested the old ones were still good when he helped me put it on.

Anyways, I brought the wrong nuts, you need the nyloc and the local store didn't carry grade 8 nyloc nuts.

But yeah, your old ones should work just fine. As long as there not rounded. Did your TW came in yet?

Mine was 24 3/4 give or take. The slip joint would compensate it. I ordered from Will Tillery and got a good price. Try him, he orders directly from TW.
