BOSCH 5502WS workshop air filter?
You can probably call me a Bosch fan boy due to my preference to Bosch parts for my BMW X5 and Land Rover.
My question is... does anyone use the BOSCH 5502WS Air Filter on their Disco? It’s normally for workshop use so I figure it should have better filtration and it has the same filter dimensions for our Discos and less than $5.

IMHO, you can forget this is a "Bosch" air filter and call it what it is..... a cheap-o oil change place type filter.
And I'm not taking a shot at Bosch, but this like many of their products, are now just marketed under what was a quality brand.
Economics I guess.
This wouldn't be my first choice air filter unless I was broke, not when you can get a much better quality WIX, Hastings, Mann, etc. for only about $12.00
It's your call.

I religiously use the Wix #46798 air filter in my D2 but was looking for another 2.24"H x 9.75"L x 8.15"W filter and found the Bosch for cheaper with the mesh screen.
Truth be told... I guess the type of air filter really doesn’t matter as long as I continue to change it out every time I change my oil and oil filter.
