Default Bosch Oil Filter

I've seen both the Bosch 72253WS and 72198WS oil filter spec'd for a 2001 DII. Anybody know what the difference is between these 2 filters? Thanks. Tom.

One is probably the standard size the other the larger one.

They are overpriced, save your money and buy a Purolator or a WIX.
Unless you are going 10,000 miles or more on that oil filter the Bosch is a waste of hard earned money.
They hold more dirt not filter any better.

How cheap?
Here they are $15.
Assuming you are talking about the DistancePlus, which I assumed he was.
Sometimes I assume to much.
The normal Bosch here is $6 normal price, Purolator and WIX are still cheaper and better in my humble opinion.

Both part numbers I mentioned are part of the Bosch workshop line and sell for $5.

I have used the standard Bosch oil filter, I do not remember the part number, I still prefer the WIX.
Just my personal preference.
