Default Bottle jack leaking. Repair or replace?

It was fine next to the battery, but I moved it into a "box o' stuff" in the back to make room for the winch controller.

I noticed that it's now covered in oil.

I'm not keen on using a leaky jack even if repaired. But I'm willing to listen...

I dont think it is repairable. Was it sitting upright under the hood? Or laying down? Just dosnt make sense that it started to leak just because you moved it. A little leak is ok though.
Or maybe its just time to buy a Hi-Lift jack.

It was on it's side in the stock position.

Come to think of it, I did have it stuffed upside down into the rear door pocket...

Turn it over, clean it up and see if it still leaks.

We used to joke about this. Even the jack leaks! Sorry not funny I know, the jack should not leak even if stored on its side, as it is in its normal place. I would relace it.

They are pure junk when brand new, but no since throwing it away. Go buy some jack oil and refill it, keep it up right in the future.
