Default BPU Front driveshaft a good choice?

Discovery Front Driveshaft Drive Shaft TVB000110

I need a new front driveshaft. Looks like at 138k miles, it still has a stock variety, not sure if it is the actual original unit or not. I have a 2"-3" lift (reported as TF by previous owner).

Did some research and it looks like the BPU has a good price, supports a lifted vehicle and seems to check all the boxes.

Is there any reason not to go with this one?

Thanks!

I bought this driveshaft from them like 4 and a half years ago and its still going strong. I grease every oil change and so far so good. No lift yet but prob going to go for a 2 inch lift.. still debating weather to just change rear driveshaft to tom woods...

Sounds good, i'l pull the trigger. I heard there can be vibration issues on the Tom Woods at high speeds. Why do you feel the need to upgrade the rear?

I think you're making a good choice; BPU doesn't sell junk. But I'll say I went through a FEW front driveshafts and switched to GBR, then removed the rotoflex and did a back GBR, too, and several years later I still have no vibrations. Even with a 3"+ lift. Double cardan front AND back. They both have zerks and are noticeably heavier and thicker than stock.

i was worries the HD driveshafts from GBR were maybe too heavy duty. That green one looks like a tank. Is it approproate for high speed highway cruising as well?

I drive mine everywhere. Back and forth from house to property at 75-??? mph. No issues.

??? Because I have 33 inch tires and it is always a guess how fast I am going.

I'm sure the BPU shafts are just fine. But I went green front and back after a series of mid priced shafts and have been happy for years. I have even dragged them in mud (where the ruts were very deep). Zero vibrations.

Finally, as noted somewhere here in the forums, I used my DII in 4Lo to chain drag several vehicles that came with the property, including a suburban with two flat tires and a race car with no tires or wheels(!)... like a tow truck! Again, zero vibrations after.

Awesome, I already ordered the other one but I do like the look of that big green one. If I have any issues I will order the big green monster as a replacement. Thanks.
