Default Brake booster and master cylinder replaced

We replaced the brake booster because brakes were real hard, sluggish stopping power on our 2000 disco 2. Bought used put in with original master cylinder and now have no brakes. Tried bleeding lines for awhile have very little fluid coming through. We swapped master cylinder as well no luck. How long to bleed brakes and do we really need the abs computer? Any insight would be awesome. Seemed like a pretty straightforward swap. Thanks
