Akebono pads. Best pads I have owned. No dust, no noise, and a lot more stopping power. 300 miles in and counting. It was an easy job.

What he said. Also, they work great on the stock LR rotors. Tons of stopping power.

Check your rotor thickness - you'd be surprised how fast the rotors wear. Get the cheapo tool at Harbor Freight (I think it's called a micrometer or caliper or something like that). Also, might want to buy a #4 torx bit -- almost impossible to find, and the best way to remove the rotors (otherwise you'll be drilling out the bolt after you strip it with your philips bit).

Get a 1/2" impact driver to remove the screw, it pops out very easily. Get one that you strike with a hammer at home depot. PB blaster is your friend when it comes to removing rotors, soak the hell out of it for an hour or 2 and they come off easily.

Make sure to fully retract the caliper piston. A C Clamp will work, but you can also get a brake spreader tool for retracting them that works pretty well and is not to expensive.

Very straight forward job. Plan on doing a complete flush and bleed switching over to sythetic brake fluid. I went with drilled and slotted rotors and akabono's and wow what a difference.

How are your pads with the slotted rotors. I heard the eat them. I stayed with the solid vented rotor.
