Lightbulb Brake Light On/Off Randomly

So I got my '04 discovery about a month ago now and when I picked it up the brake light was on and it simply went away so I disregarded it. Now a month later it's become a regular thing for it to come on and go away somewhat randomly (When I hit a bump in the road it'll generally alternate either on or off) and it's finally annoyed me to the point I feel like fixing it, I've obviously tested it and it seems fine (engages fully at 4 clicks) any advice on where to start?

brake fluid is down a bit.
Add some Castroil DOT4 synthetic and you'll be good to go.

Thanks for the quick reply! I've been constantly checking my fluid levels and the reserve does show full should I add anyway? I'd hate to overfill and cause problems...

I should mention the Brake light is on more than it's off

Do the brake pads have wear sensors?
