Default Brake Noise

I have a 2002 Discovery 11 SE7. When backing up slowing I have a brake squeek. Only in reverse. Rear brakes. Could this be the parking brake not releasing completely? If so, what is the fix?

It is definitely not the parking brake, as the parking brake is located at the back of the transfer case. The rear driveshaft attaches to the parking brake drum. I would pull your rear wheels and look for a crooked pad, and just do a general inspection of the rear brakes (assuming that is where the noise originates)

Does it only happen in the morning?
Or all the time?

How many miles on the rear pads, who's pads are they and have you torn them down to inspect them yet? Could be the caliper on one side may be sticking.

If it was the caliper wouldn't it happen when moving forward? Only happens in reverse backing slowly.
