Default Brake opinions wanted!

I have to replace my rear brakes and was just wondering what people are using . Also, I do a bit of towing (boat) during the summer so I wanted something thats decent but dont want to break the bank. I bought some ebc rotors and pads for the front and they r ok but they create a lot of brake dust. Thinking about just getting new pads. I am going to be in the market for some new shocks as well and was also wondering about the terrafirmas with no lift. Thanks guys.

I run Duralast brake pads, middle of the line, they work just fine, low dust too.
As a FedEx driver I can tell you brakes is brakes.
Unless you are racing, dont spend big money on rotors and pads, just dont buy the 'el cheapo ones and you will be fine.

As for the shocks, shocks do not give you a lift, it is the springs that give you a lift.
I bought my shocks at AutoZone 4 years ago, Gabriel Ultra's with a life time warranty, $120 for a set of 4.
Takes half a day to DIY install taking your time.

I agree with the Akebono pads, they don't squeak, no dust, out stop regular OEM pads, last longer and won't trip your 3 amigos.
They can be purchased at Amazon or E-Bay, the part number is EUR 493 for around $50.

That sounds good on the akebono pads. Are the fronts eur676? As far as the shocks go for a non lifted disco, what would you guys recommend. I know it doesnt give me any lift, im just looking for something a little stiffer when towing. I saw the super gaz and the terrafirmas and have no idea which one if any to get. I've seen discussions on the terras for lifts but not for standard height. Although, If anyone has a lift kit at a reasonable price i might be interested.

By the way, I just got my heads done for less than $150! So if anyone near Lansing, Mi needs them done let me know and I'll get you there info.

about to replace the pads (already ordered OE for the front and back) this weekend. Any suggestions on what to use on the sensors/calipers for cleaning? 3 amigos came on about 2 months ago.

Send the OE back and get the Aekebono. I have OE's on the 04. Dust all over the front wheels.
The 99 has Aekebono's and no dust no noise . I cleaned everything with "brake cleaner" in a spray can from parts store. Worked fine. Also put brake silencer on the back of the pads and use lube that came with them. Good luck with 3 amigos.
