The brake "pipes" are the hard lines at the back no reason to replace them unless they are rusted to the point of failure.

If you are replacing the rubber lines you might as well go to Stainless steel a little more money but are far more durable.

3000.00 seems to high to me and I am in Canada we get hosed on parts prices

And get some washable paint and hippy your Disco up go full on 60's the most garish colours you can find, that ought to sort the busy body out

After seeing your frame and knowing that it has been sitting for a while, l'd definitely have the brake lines to the rear replaced. Blew the line on my wife's 03 last winter, luckily l was driving. Both lines were horribly rusted.

Yeah, you're in a tough spot, location wise, for getting a Land Rover repaired...not many shops to chose from. It's a painful experence, owning any foreign car...if you're unable to repair some of the stuff yourself.

Good luck.

I'll add this based on that fact that I just rebuilt my own calipers.

The odds of needing new calipers is pretty damn slim........ Its one o-ring and a dust boot.
If the dust boots are good, then odds are the o-ring is fine. Unless you're leaking fluid from the caliper of course.
If it were me, I'd skip that expense - it can be done later if everything else doesnt resolve the issue for some reason.

Pads and rotors can be had from just about anywhere for around $150 - $200 for ALL FOUR CORNERS
Stainless brake lines would be an upgrade and about the same or less than rubber hoses.

As others commented, DO NOT replace the ABS module - Option B will typically resolve the 3 amigos for free.
Maybe a good Indy shop will do it for an hours labor worst case, but worth asking....... its pretty simple........worst case, you'll need a new shuttle valve if the wires are corroded beyond use.

And a complete fluid flush with ABS module activation - can be done with a wire and button if tech doesn't have proper software.

Happy to report back that Bertha is having her brakes done for the whopping cost of $600 today. Calipers/Rotors and pads on the front and the back are still functional AND... they are replacing the brake lines in the back. He said that they were ok for now but are really rusty. Brian's horror story put it into perspective for me haha.
I'm pretty excited. I have time now to work on things that need to be done and spend some quality time with her Yay!!!! Thanks for all the input!!

For $600 that isn’t tooooooooo bad of a price but at least your brakes System will (Hopefully) be done correctly and the ABS system will be bled correctly.

It's worth it to me. I'm sure the calipers in the front need changing and I am fine paying that price. And it's a professional establishment where I've taken my other vehicles so I know they'll do a good job. They've been around for years and I've realized that I just cannot do everything myself, as controlling as I may like to be

Total control freak. Yep... all the way.

@KernowDiscovery Always best to go to a professional for things like brakes if you are not sure, you want your brakes to be perfect.
