Default Brake rotor and pad opinions

Ok, I need to upgrade brakes when I do my suspension. As per the usual, I had my mind made up on something ( EBC slotted and pads ) from Lucky 8.
……Then I went down the rabbit hole of alternatives.
So now I’m considering less expensive but possibly just as good options:

Brake Motive slotted with pads.
Brembo unslotted rotors with Akebono pads.

Grrrrrr..any opinions? I just want good, reliable stopping power for off road and on road use.
At the moment I’m now leaning toward the vented (unslotted) Brembos with the supposedly outstanding Akebono EURO pads.

BM stuff works great and hardly any brake dust at all. Zero issues with any BM I've installed on multiple vehicles.

My next set will be unslotted. I'm tired of pulling crap stuck in the pads and scoring my rotors after wheeling trips, probably will still happen sometimes but I think with my slotted rotors more stuff is building up in between my pads and causing issues.

I have unslotted Brembo rotors and Akebono pads... They have lasted a ridiculously long time with excellent performance and ZERO brake dust.

I ran Akebonos on the old truck with whatever (original?) rotors were on it. Happy, with no issues.

Just bought EBC pads and “dimpled and slotted” rotors from Atlantic-British, which I’ll install next week. I do almost zero off-road at this point, but will post some impressions once I’ve driven a bit. Of course, life/durability is something that only time will tell…

Thank you. I’m leaning Brembo/Akebono.

thank you!

Im thinking I’ll probably reserve the slotted rotors for my 03. She’s my Chelsea Tractor.

I've tried Brembo/Akebono (and others).
TBH I prefer genuine rotors + pads on D2's.
