Default Brake service = 3 amigos (why?)

I just did a brake service (disconnected brake lines) on my 00 disco and freaking 3 amigos poped up. No idea why. All abs sensors are good, I have the shuttle valve fix and 2004 slabs ecu. Any thoughts as to why this might be happening?

There's no way to tell without getting the codes read. It might be just a coincidence that the Amigos appeared at the same time you serviced the brakes.

Why did you remove brake lines ?
I think there is a procedure to bleed the abs pump not sure if it’s related

One of the caliper pistons was getting stuck (water got under the rubber "collar"). Theoretically no need for bleeding the servo since all repairs were downstream, but even if I wanted to, 3 amigos cut power to the relay, so I can't short it.

You can read the codes with scanners capable of reading the ABS system. I use a Foxwell NT520 and I believe it also has capability to bleed the module also, which sounds like it could be the problem in your case.

Yes I know.... Unfortunately I've purchased an obd scanner without all these functions and I'm really hesitant to get another one. But I guess the amigos will keep coming...

The Foxwell can bleed the module and also it has a power bleed function for the Disco 2.

Well i I went out and got the scan tool just so it can tell me that the modulator relay circuit is open, because I stuck the relay in the wrong slot LMAO. Dumbest mistake I ever made... I'm cracking up
