Default Brake warning light?

My "brake" warning light came on the other day and won't go away, brake fluid is topped off, thought it could be either my pedal switch or my park brake switch, but my tail brake lights are working perfectly. What else should I look at?

The parking brake, make sure it is down all the way.
Pull it up, and then put it all the way down.

Also, the float on the brake fluid level sensor may have lost bouyance, thus sinking and triggering the brake warning light. They usually will fail slowly and make the warning light "blink" on and off as the sensor partially floats at the threshold of the warning level.

I was going to suggest the float too. It's possible some crap may have gotten into the reservoir, and has jammed the float. See if the float is floating, and let us know.

Checked the float and even pressed it up to the cap and the light is still on, checked the p brake switch, pressed it all the way in and still no change. I still need to check my pedal switch, but it must not be the switches because my taillights work perfectly. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the trailer brake system that the previous owner had installed

Guys I'm still stumped on this one, i've tested my pedal, parking, and brake res cap switch, and they are all working, my res it topped off, but my brake light is still staying on. Could it be the brake module? One thing to mention, when I press the pedal, it makes a fairly strong clicking sound from the center console. Is this just the normal sound it makes when the tail brake lights come one? Thanks for any help, I should also mention that I have 3 amigos
