Default Brakes pushing back during slow breaking

I have a 96 disco and the brakes occasionally push back during slow braking. typically while turning into parking spots. i can push hard enough to stop, but it seems to pulse in and out and there is a buzzing sound that occurs. my abs light has been on for some time now, but i haven't had the time or money to have it inspected. would it seem that the whole abs is going bad or could there be some smaller things to look into first? thanks for any advice.

You have a bad wheel speed sensor. Open the hood, on the left fender is a fuse box, open it and remove the ABS fuse and your problems will go away. The ABS light will still be on, but you will beable to stop.
You will NOT have any ABS after doing this so take that into consideration.

There is no such thing as a stupid question...what you found on atlanticbritish.com is correct.
You have three ABS sensors, one at each front wheel and one for both the rear wheels.
SO before you go and buy parts you need to find out which one is bad.
In the mean time, pull the fuse before you have a accident. It will get worse and you wont beable to stop at all.

Fuse box on the fender under the hood. It is marked ABS. I tink it is a 30amp. It is listed in the owners manual.

To take the fuse out you unscrew the two screws and pull it out, correct?

Unscrew what screws? Open the fuse box under the hood on the fender, remove the ABS fuse. It is a standard flat automotive type fuse.

When I opened the fuse box on the passenger side I saw about 10 regular fuses, then I saw about 6 fuses that were bigger and were screwed in atboth ends. I looked on the underside of the fuse panel cover and found the corresponding abs fuse, unscrewed it and took it out.
