I will fill up at any gas station and run regular or plus. I've been averaging 15.6 mpg combined and she purrs like a kitten. but ZGphoto, I do miss filling up at Boudri's in Huntington, they sell ethanol free fuel.

my understanding...fuel companies contribute x gallons of fuel to a storage facility and in return get x gallons of fuel from that facility. from the general fill-up, the different brands then move to their respective areas and add in their detergents, etc. so yes, the base fuel is the same, it's the additives that make one different from another. have found best mileage/performance with BP.

Shhhh, don't mention BP Barrack don't like them at all - he blames them for environmental disasters which were not their fault.

First, it's Barack not Barrack.

Second, given the sluggish response to and the horrible outcome of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, frankly, I don't see anything at all wrong with a deep anger at the way BP has conducted themselves throughout this mess. I seem to remember your President d'Estaing calling for the banning of all supertankers within 12 miles of the French coastline after the Amoco Cadiz.

It's inappropriate to make light of a disaster that has irrevocably changed the lives of tens of thousands of people who made their living off gulf.

Firstly and most importantly Paul, I don't make light of any offshore disaster being I made my living from that industry across the world. Secondly no French president is 'mine' I'm still very British. Lastly, the manufacturers of the failed blow out preventer valve didn't exactly cover themselves with glory nor did Transocean and in so doing stood well back and let BP take the rap for their incompetences.

Much as I am not interested in getting into the politics and finger pointing on this I am not prepared to be bamboozled into believing what has been fed to the public and world at large by whoever. My concerns rest mainly and firmly with the 11 persons who died from the disaster and the many injured also the subsequent mayhem caused and certainly not the petty politics of apportioning who is to blame or not.

I use 90 octane Valero or Shell. I have two local stations I like, both get perfect reports for water in gas (zero). I just asked the managers. They looked at me like I was crazy but they both immediately knew the answer and where proud of it.

Shell marine grade gas is the best (no ethanol and high octane) but ridiculously expensive and hard to find.

We seem to be on the same page with regard to Deep Water. I am just sick and tired of simplistic BS about our President. At least spell his name right or, if you're really not trying to make it political, why even mention him?
