Default Breather question

I have a common ARB compressor issue. Diff oil making it's way up the air line and out the solenoid. I have read to try blowing the breather line out. Some claim If it's clogged it'll send the oil up towards the solenoid. This is the first simple fix. I understand inside the diff an o ring can go bad also allowing oil to bleed by and up the air line.

I'm attaching a pic of the breather point of attachment at the front axle. I tried to pry it out of the axle but since I don't understand the mechanics stopped after I chipped a plastic collar. Any recommendations for getting this end off so I can blow air through the line?

Working it simple to complex.

TIA

Hugh

Clean the red connector area, push red ring down, then pull black tube out. It's a compression type fitting.
