I've just installed a new BP Utah front driveshaft:

Land Rover Discovery 2 II Heavy Duty Front Driveshaft Drive Shaft Propeller TVB000110 TVB000320

Made extra sure it was installed properly (e.g., double cardan at the rear, proper torue on the mounting nuts, etc).

I noticed a throbbing type vibration at high speeds above 65+ mph. Appears to be a balance issue.

The BP Utah site says the driveline is sold with a balancing inspection at low and high speed.

Just curious is anyone in the forum has had a similar issue in the past. BP Utah is shipping a new driveshaft to me.

 

Just call them Monday and he will take care of it.

I have already spoken with BP Utah a couple of days ago and they are already shipping a new one to me. Great service from them. They were apologetic for the inconvenience.

Perhaps I should have been clearer in my first post. I was not trying to dis-credit BP Utah.

I was just curious if there is anything else which I could have done other than removing the driveline again and taking in for another re-balance.

A quick update...

I received the new replacement driveshaft from BP Utah under warranty. It was installed today. The car is running more smoothly without any high speed driveline vibration.
