Default Broken Speedo Cover...

So I am having one of those issues... you know, something thats not important, but extremly annoying. I think when my mechanic was wiring a light for me he snaped one of the clips that holds the cover over the speedo (dont know exact name, but it holds the switchs such as cruise control). Anyways, somehow both clips are broken now and the thing is lose. It stays in postion when driving, but its so loose that it moves (alot) when I use the buttons and when I turn the key its obvious its loose.

So my question is... How do I go about fixing this? I would rather not by an new cover, but I really dont want to drive around with it loose like that. It looks cheesy and im already tired of adjusting it everyday. Any tips? Ideas?

I was just looking at it and I think I might try to hot glue a similar looking peice where the clip broke. Its just a strip of plactic so maybe I can pull something off.

Remeber though Cam, hot glue melts when it gets hot...

pssst, that means a Rover parked in the hot summer sun with the windows rolled up will get hot enough inside to melt the hot glue...
