I bought this and heard rumors that the D1 brush guard would not mount on a 2004 D2.. Well here are some pics and Im wondering how it would line up.. the two mounts line up directly in the center of those two crash can things that are light grey. Any thoughts?? anyone want to but this one??

 

I doubt you can mount that on a 04 D2.

 

first off the mount is bent, it needs to be straightened. then for it to work you would have to remove the crush cans and trim the mounts on the brush guard. the d1 uses 3 horizontal bolts, the d2 only uses 2. the 3rd D1 bolt sits where that 45 degree angle support is on your truck. why would you buy a brush guard off a D1 anyway? it's going to be rusted up way more than a D2 and needs modification to fit.

 

For $125 on ebay knowing it was damaged, I can repair it, fabricate the mounts and mount it up for a fraction of the cost of a new one.. Do I need to leave the crash cans on the vehicle to re-mount the bumper of can I just get rid of them?
