I just received my Lucky 8 drive shaft in the mail today. Removing the old drive shaft was a bear, but I got it off. I went in to put the new DS in and the front bolt holes will not line up. I installed the rear first since I couldn't get the bolts out.

How do I get it to realign? Will I have to roll the Disco? It's only about 1/4" off.

 

lift up the front passenger or driver side wheel, that'll allow you to spin the pinion flange.

 

You are a gentleman and a scholar. That was the exact info I needed. Got the new drive shaft in! Just in time too - found what appears to be a significant crack in the housing for the centering ball.

Why? I called you at 10 this morning about a Tom woods driveshaft issue and I still haven't gotten a call back.....
