Very easy to make some frame back supports. Especially as it seems you have a good understanding of fabrication and mounting.

I recently made 2 2x2” square 1/4” stock to 1/4” stock flat stock (I used angle iron, the inside chamfer matched the frame outside corner perfectly) supports from back side of your sill flange to frame.

can now use a farm jack to lift side of truck by the tree bar without curling the frame sill. Bombproof really. And can be done anytime down the road

These are the drawings I used with a few of my own touches.

Got my sliders back today from powder coat. Got the drinkers side installed and then and ran out of hardware. I'll finish her up tomorrow.

If anyone is looking to build these but is curious about the cost, here is the breakdown.

Per the plans at the link in my previous post, I had the two channels formed using a sheet of 3/16" mild steel. $123.00 parts and labor.
I paid $75.00 for a 20 ft piece of 3/16" wall thickness x 2" x 2" O.D. tubing. I used about 15 ft for both sliders.
Since I tacked them up with a 110 volt welder, I paid a local shop to do the finish welding $125.00
Powder coating was $150.00
Consumables like welding wire, argon gas and hardware, were $20.00

No accounting for my time and I had the small strip of expanded metal from another project years ago.

So, total for these were $493.00

I like the design much more than the simple round bars. Looks very safe to step on them. Would buy them.
