Default DII Rock Slider Plans FOUND

Finally tracked down the plans for some DII rock sliders. The only thing I might try to add is attachment to the frame. I have not built these yet, so I don't know how they fit.

Many folks were asking me to let them know if I found the plans, so here you go:

You have the plans or the sliders? What do you think of them?

got the plans a couple of years ago. I gave them to my shop foreman and he is about halfway done with them. Luckily he has not had time to finish. (if he had the spare time, I would be losing money). Don't have them finished, but they look sweet on paper..

I have used a es up like those for 7 plus years, never had a problem or failure of any kind and they can be built for normal wheeling or sever wheeling based on the metal used. I ran 3/16 ths. plate and 2X4 box steel for more H.D protection.
There is no need or benefit to bracing all the way over to the frame.

Nice design, it doesn't seem to show the cut required to make the bend to form fit the sill. That location and size would be important, I guess. I would like to see the press or tool used to then do the bend after the cut is made..That seems to be the challenge to the at home slider project.

I like the smooth edges, that is some nice welding and finishing work.

so that design just attaches to the rocker panel? A slider that doesn't attach to the frame is worthless.

What is the upside to having a frame mount?

The style shown will be more than enough protection as it wraps around the sill and bolts through it.

when all the weight of your vehicle is on the side of a big rock the load is transfered to your frame and doesn't collapse the whole side of your vehicle.
