Default Bumper Holes

OK, alot of you don't know me. I hang out on the D1 side. Until today. Just got an '04 disco. And although everything is pretty self explanitory, I have no clue what the 4 symetrically placed holes are in the rear bumper cover???

The holes are for back up sensors. Why are all four of them missing is a mystery. I have seen some trucks with one missing but never all four.

Is it possible mine don't have that option and they were plugged? Guess maybe I should read that owners manual.I hate reading and that thing is thicker than most books.

I am not sure but I think the ones without the parking sensors came with bumpers without the holes which did not require any plugs. Look under the bumper and try to look for any wires that are not connected.

They have been removed at some point. I have seen plenty of 04's with normal bumpers because they don't have the senors to begin with.

I would say that the original owner ditched them at some point. Prob because the electronics failed. (Just an educated guess based on 4 years of ownership. hahaha)

He might have been rear ended and just bought a used bumper. I did. Mine doesn't need or have holes, but your guy may have just gotten a deal on the holy bumper.

Yea, never thought of that. I did look quickly for any wiring or harnesses by/around them areas and saw nothing. But I also was in a hurry as it's raining pretty bad.

On all of those buttons around the gauge cluster, on the left, at the bottom is the switch that turns it on and off, if you have that feature.

Sweet truck! I would go with it was hit and replaced with a used one as mentioned. Also, didn't the G4 have the lower light guards too? Plastic ones like up on the top lights but went around the lower lights with one part in the center? Could be another clue it is not original.
