i;ve replaced half of the burned harness today, must have soldered 40+ connections today. after that its just assembling the interior, do the headliner and wiping off the smoke residue!!!

i got the disco for free basically, spent 100 on the new seats, 40 on the harness, 100 on the center console 35 on a new shifter assembly, not a bad deal.

many people would have gave up on this truck... the wiring harness wasnt that bad. and is you can clean glass and plastic... i'd buy another burned disco!!!

i used sem leather/vynil re-finishing product. its like a flexable paint for leather, used on other seats and trim before on my trans am.

its like 14$ a can and its gives you that no joke look, and feel. its not a dye , but its not a paint!!!

went in for engine rebuild (3rd time) and the mechanic left the starter lying on the front axle/frame,connected the battery and shorted the car out while rolling up the window (driver side), switch heated up from improper ground and caught the console on fire and burned the seat, headliner, sun visors, etc.

1 month after it happened his ins. co totalled the car and we bought it back, title didnt change hands, and its not listed as a salvage!!! lucky me...

so if i fix the truck, it was free minus my time, money for repairs (600$) and the motor rebuild org. investment (5500-6000$)

if i fail, i'll have to part it out, solid truck, just has bad wiring!!!

damn those seats look sooo good too

hope this works
