bushing & shocks on or around long island
Everyone hates Britpart, but I got some of their shocks and springs cheap, and they're serving decently. I'm sure you could source some (or some other cheap shocks/springs) from usual suspects like Atlantic British, Rovers North or similar. Do a web search.
Make sure you buy the isolators for the front springs. This is a rubber part that fits between the top of the springs and the shock towers. It's tempting to try to reuse, but they often break. The rings around the tops of the rear springs aren't as important to replace – you can run the truck without them if you need to.
I'd also order new bolts for the bottom of the front shocks, if you can source them. They don't feel all that solid.
Get a pair of spring compressors. A torque wrench would be nice to have, but isn't essential. Be careful not to over-torque bolts on the bottom or top of the front shocks.
Have some low-profile ratchets and some extensions of varying lengths. You'll need these to wrench on the bottom shock bolts through the front springs.
Don't forget to soak the bolts you're going to remove with penetrating oil daily for a few days before you do the swap.

I really depend what your going to use it for? If you put off road shocks & spring in be prepared for the change in ride.

If you are replacing springs, you cna also do a 2" lift at the same time for no additional cost. I would suggest Terrafirma med springs.

thanks anthony, good to hear from you. if new springs can lift it a little bit maybe I will do that...looks like springs/shocks is around $500, any place I can do it cheaper? im not going to offroad...i drive this thing around town with my kids on the weekends...
Just did my front shocks and springs. Replaced the sway bar links as well.
I did not want any lift and still use the truck in town as a daily driver. I used Lucky8 for my parts
2 stock front springs, 2 TerraFirma front shocks and 2 new Allmakes sway bar linkages. Shipped was $234.
It took me the afternoon to replace all the parts. Using the bottleneck on the bump stop base the old springs basically slipped right out. Needed a little spring compression on the new spring. (Remember it was a stock height replacement)

Well spent $234. Love it when you can feel the difference when driving.
My truck has 145,000 and air shocks I n the rear. I am going to order some rear shocks and sway linkage for the rear this week.
