Default Buying a 2003 Disco

I am currently driving a 99 SaharaWrangler and love it to death. I just got a promotion at work and am having to drive clients around, mainly retarded rich developers. I am currently leaning toward a Disco. I have been drewling over a Defender but again need something that is nice inside. I guess my question is how reliable are the Discos, the last thingI need is to have it break down on me while having a client with me out at a job site. I am some what mechanically inclined and have done almost all of the repairs to my Jeep except for the lift. I have heard that the Disco is expensive to repair and also has alot of problems. Is this true or are they just alot of small annoying problems that will not cause the Disco to breakdown but just be annoying, and can fix them over the weekend with the tools that I have at my disposal.. SOME ONE HELP!!!!

There are other trucks that get better gas mileage and dont require 91 octane.Hate to shy you away but the expensive repairs and need for attention could hurt your bottom line.If it were just for yourself I'd say different. However, others have respectable opinions on this matter. Check this one out.https://landroverforums.com/m_19267/tm.htm
Looks like you guys are in similar conditions. Let us know what you decide. Regards.

I'll weigh in here, I've had a 95 yj for 11 yearsand a 03 Discovery II for a while. Wrenching on the jeep and the rover are two very different levels of difficulty. I love my Rover, butI gotta say it is a love hate relationship sometimes. I only wish it were as easy to repair as the heep. Up to this point though, parts are not hard to find for it, my local autoparts stores have had most everything I've needed, and the prices are not outrageous.
