hey guys i have a 2000 disco 2 and i need some help with my A/C when i turn it on the clutch will not engage but if i unplug it and put power and ground to it the clutch will engage what do i have to look at to fix this thanx

Need to check freon level first, low pressure switch will shut off a/c compressor if system is low on freon.

thanx for the quick reply i put one of the refill kits on it that has a gage and with the ac off it says full on the gage when i put power to the clutch with engin running it says low so should i try and fill it when i put power to the clutch ?

or maybe change the low pressure switch i have a parts truck here to try just were would i find the switch ?

ok found the switch on rave will try that after and have it refilled

If want change the low pressure switch it is old. But the system should be evac for 20 minutes and refilled with some pag oil. Pressures should be low side 20-35 and high side with aux fan running 180-220 psi
