A/C Blower Motor Upgrade?
I was wondering if there was a better motor we could put into these things (pushes more air) My truck's AC will never compare to my wife's Lexus in terms of AC blower strength or temp. (FYI--I compared my AC to that of my friend's 04 DII and they were comparable)
Thanks guys,

The Lexus may well have a larger capacity system, different compressor, coil surface area, and fan cfm. Increasing CFM dramatically won't leave a lot of time for existing coils and system to cool off the air as it passes them. If system is producing 40-42F air at center vents then it is working. Window tint? Paint the roof white? (could do it with tempra paint, which will wash off, for a test. Dodge pickups used to come with white roof, they claimed it made 15 degrees difference in the cab, that may be a stretch).

I'm sure there are many others from different vehicles that could also be retrofitted if you try. I however chose the 1997-2003 Pontiac Grand Prix to donate it's motor and cage to the cause.
...and no it's not a bolt on plug and play sort of install, but it does blow 36 degree air in 100 degree heat like it's coming out of a leaf blower now however.

Wow! And I was happy when that extra can of 134A I found (what the heck, can't hurt, can it?) produced 41 degrees with ambient temp at 95. I guess we know who the new king of cold air is. My hat's off to you, Wolfie.
....and my tail lights still make me smile everytime I see them. Thanks again.
