I have a 99 discovery II that I was told is in need of a compressor. It's going to cost $750. But the the system is working fine. It's when you turn it off is the problem. It howls real bad. Can you just change the compressor clutch? Any ideas?

 

You can not buy just the clutch and bearing but here is a good way to go for a good guaranteed used compressor.
