Default A/C Drains 04 Disco

Hey All,

Does anybody have a shot (picture) of the dreaded air conditioner drains for an 04 Disco? I've heard stories about them plugging up and then having condensate drip into the cabin. I think they are supposed to be above the - cats - but I can not find them. Have I been mislead?

Thanks for your help.

Robert

I don't have a pic, but you're in the right area. Look further up the bell housing. It's a black rubber plug that may obscured by the hi-lo or CDL cable. If you look at the truck from the side it will be around the level of the center console. If you are having water leaking into the cabin by the footwell, that is where you need to be.

PS - Don't have water leaking (yet) only trying to become familiar with my vehicle from a preventative maintenance aspect.

Thank you will explore that area better - O are they easier seen from above or below - or does it matter

Thanks again

Robert

You can only see them under the truck, laying on your back, looking up. Wear eye protection and be prepared to get out of the way. There's an incredible amount of water that each drain can hold. I think it's over a gallon per side.

I tried to drain mine a few days ago. They're definitely clogged, there's a constant pool of water on my passenger side floor. Stuck a straightened wire hanger up there a good 8 inches until it wouldn't go any further but nothing came out. What am I missing?

Also where are the sun roof drains? Those are good and gunked up too [:@]

I'm not sure where the sunroof drains end to check. If the a/c drains are free of water, it's a good bet to check the sunroof for leaks.
