Default A/C Recharging?

Hey guys needed some help on recharging my system. Bought the truck in Oct/06 so I never checked it. Yeah dumb move. All the fuses are good so I figured on starting with the cheapest thing. Thanks

You never start with the "Cheapest Way First" with a/c. Actually sounds like you have no knowledge of the workings of a a/c system and I would suggest you go find a shop and have them look at it.

Sorry about that its a 98 disco with 100,500 miles. Yes it does. As for knowledge Mike if I knew what to do then why would I post anything? Right. Did a A/C recharge on my toyota echo just wondering if all my truck needed was the R134a.

So it is a high miled 96, it should be pumped down remove what little oil is still left in the system, under a vacuum replace the oil then recharge with out blowing your reed valves.
Do you have a pump and a set of guages, if not you are risking damage to the a/c system.
