Default Caliper Leak??

I saw this leak on both front calipers after doing a complete brake job and flushing.

Because of where the fluid appeared to be coming from and just the age and mileage, I installed stainless lines.

Now it's still leaking in the same exact manner so the only other answer here is the caliper, correct?

Side bar question..... The brake kit I installed had drilled and slotted rotors.
Often I hear a very noticeable ticking when I brake which I know is the slots. However, I've installed slotted on my wife's car and previous cars and never heard this.
My assumption is that I'm getting uneven movement from a piston so a pad isn't getting even pressure thus causing this excessive ticking.

Thoughts??

IDK, are you sure it's brake fluid? Has the reservoir dropped?

It's all over the axle tube too. I am guessing bad axle seal and the CV boot is slinging gear oil around.

I might agree but this leak is exactly the same on both sides and only started after my brake job which I find to be too much of a coincidence.
I had NO leaking at all prior.
No wheelin or anything crazy, its only been a couple of weeks.

The fluid level does NOT appear to be changing.

However - no harm in checking those boots. I'll pull the wheels and check this week.
Now that I think about it while typing, you might be on to something - the fluid on my finger feels more like the gear oil than brake fluid.
I have both available so can sample maybe and see

Thoughts on the brake rotor ticking? Sometimes its pretty damn loud but brakes work perfectly - I know its the slots, but no idea why unless my uneven piston movement idea is accurate... Not sure....

Thanks for the tip.........

Did some more searching - based on your comment and found this thread - I think you may be right........

Did you top up your diffs recently? I have a leaking axle seal on the P38, it runs fine just under filled, fill it up and all the extra goes out that seal just like your picture.

Yes - I have a leak out of the rear of the front diff so I drained a bit then added some Blue Devil stop leak then topped it off.
The leak seemed to have stopped - this was a month ago at least.

Then this leak started......given the timing of the brake job and how it "appeared" to be leaking at the base of the hose, I thought that was it.....

So....Is it brake fluid or Diff fluid?

They have a very very different "feel"

Get some on your fingers and feel it. Brake fluid does not slide like oil does. It has a little bit of lubricity but also has some "bite" you will understand when you feel it. Diff fluid feels like.... oil.

If it is brake fluid I would suspect your crush washers causing the issue if it started immediately after a brake job/line replacement.

I've thought about this multiple times and now believe this to be diff fluid as its consistency looks and feels more like new motor oil than brake fluid.
I appreciate the responses and will be looking at replacing the axles seals and maybe the hubs at the same time - truck has 220k miles on it now.

Are you sure the banjo bolts are tight? As Llama says, those copper crush washers don't look very crushed. The spread of fluid looks to me like brake fluid is leaking past the washers and staining everything in the vicinity.
