Camel Trophy Land Rover Years
#12
For the truck to be up to the roof line under water, get pulled out and still start and drive is actually amazing. Just wish that the wiring in the disco lived up to its heritage. So many points of corrosion in the plastic connectors with all my friends trucks. I would love to know what level of prep was required with the old camel trucks. They must have been quite special to handle that level of abuse. Are many of them still being used, or have they all been parted out due to damage

I met a Nigel, a few days ago at pizza hut...he was driving a 2001 Range Rover in the same color as my D2. I spotted him and we started talking about Land Rover. He mentioned that on an actual DVD of Camel Trophy, there is commentary from Land Rover that they are practically stock with the acception of the obvious things you see, like a winch and more water resistant interior and I suppose tires. Plus all the things like shovels lights axes and jacks and such.
