Default Can anyone help me with identification in my 2002 Discovery 2?

Can anyone help me identify what is wrong here? What is missing here? I'm having trouble finding this in the schematics. This under my truck on the right hand side of my vehicle when you're facing the engine. Is this fixable?

Thanks

inspection port. there's one on each side. a rubber bung goes in there but they're not essential. once you take an old one out you won't get it back in.

I'd be more concerned with what appears to be a piece of wood with screws in it under your truck.

It soaks up the oil so none drips on the garage floor

I have a sheet of wood that I use when I change the oil because I always end up splashing on the garage floor. The wood soaks it up and with a quick wipe it is good for the next oil change with no oil on the garage floor.

Oil is coming from the Land Rover. Those Brits were geniuses.

Couldn't that also be cruciform seal?
