Can the cat 02 affect open loop, closed loop?
Does sensor 2 after the cats have any control over closed/open loop?
Other than maf, primary 02 and tps, what else would cause dropping out of closed loop above 25% throttle?

As far as I know, the post cat sensor doesn't effect anything other then setting an error if its out of range ie. cat deficiency.
Also, I thought at WOT and heavy load the engine goes into open loop. Closed loop is for cruising and idling. Maybe check to see what your throttle position sensor is reading when you push the pedal down 25%?
Hopefully someone else can correct me or confirm my info.

Guy down the street bought one and it seems to run very well other than dropping into open loop at more than 25 percent throttle.
I tossed my ultragauge on his truck just to check things out for him. TPS reads correctly.
Other than this oddity his truck seems pretty solid
I did give him a primer on owning a disco and his eyes got real big lol

My TPS only reads around 70% when my foot is all the way down, not sure if thats normal or not. Maybe I'll take apart the intake this weekend and see if the throttle plate is opening all the way. I plan on replacing the sensor soon since I found an oem bosch sensor for pretty cheap.
