Default can we reuse a new intake gasket?

Hey guys,

I just finished putting back together the upper intake plenum with a new gasket and in my infinite wisdom i forgot to put the coil packs back in. So now I have to take it back apart and put it back together.

This being said the gasket is new can I reuse it? or do I have to buy a new one now?

Thanks for the advise, I am glad I can reuse it since I can't get one till Tuesday and want to keep working on this thing.

Very fast response!

IMO if it was new and assembled once just re-use it but if a couple of years old after use just bin it.

I did something similar, but I am a firm believer in the copper spray gasket sealer, which i used and have had no issues.

The upper intake is metal, flip it over and reuse it

You can't flip it over its not symmetrical and doesn't line up with dowels. Needless to say I am going to re-use the gasket.

Thanks for all the advise guys, car closed!
