I am doing exactly what the manual says. But...for the life of me, I cannot get the rear seats up to the seated position. I swear something is wring with the mechanism. Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

 

I don't want to sound like a smart ***, but did you release the catch on the side wall / top edge of seat before twisting the handle. I have fought with mine a couple of times and then remembered the seat is latched to the wall, felt like a complete *** when my kid did it for me.

 

I just had the same problem last week.

There is a small silver spring under the seat that gets worn. Jiggle it a bit and it should do the trick.

 

It secures to the floor fine. It is just that I cannot raise the back to the upright position. I will check out the spring.

 

Ah ha, I have the same problem with one of my seats. I have to kneel on the folded down seatback at just the right location with just the right pressure, then, and only then will that lever turn to allow me to raise the seatback. I would swear the truck does it just to **** me off.
