Pull the PRND12 bezel carefully up and you'll see the shift lock on the left side. Push that in and you'll be able to get it out of park in the mean time while you diagnose

Welcome to the forum, Russ. The two symptoms are likely unrelated. A common cause of not being able to shift out of Park is a faulty brake light switch. Check to see if the brake lights come on when you press on the brake pedal with the ignition switch in Position 2. If the brake lights don't come on replace the brake light switch. Whether or not they come on please report back here to either diagnose the shifting out of Park problem or to diagnose why the center differential light is on.
