Default Car not starting, bad CPS?

Hey guys I am at almost 105k miles and have a problem with the car not starting. It will start fine sometimes, but sometimes does not. It will just keep cranking and the m& s lights will flash and 2 other lights. If I wait a few minutes(white I try to wiggle the battery terminals) it starts up. Yesterday it died while driving! The radio stayed on, we pulled over and turned it off and then lost power steering while pulling over. Attempted to start the car and it just kept cranking. Waited a minute and it started back up and no problems all day.

I do know the previous owner replaced my CPS around 85k miles, is it the same problem again?

it could be the CPS this is the time of year for weak ones to fail. but what about wiggling the battery terminals? have you taken them off and cleaned them up along with the body grounds?

Unfortunately no, the terminals appear tight, have felt protectors and some Vaseline type consistency jelly on terminals. I have been wanting to clean them, but sadly have not had time.

Any diagram of the body grounds?

Sure give us all the code numbers and what other flashing light information. Go get your charging system tested for free at a local parts store, should be between 13.6 and 14.4 volts.
Crank sensor normally won't all the engine to start when hot.

Sorry it was 13.8 I think, the guy was being kind of a douche.

FYI usually my wife will drive 20 miles to work(about 30 mins to hour drive), park her far and go to work. When she gets off work around 8-10 hours later(1-3am) the car doesn't start and just cranks. She waits a minute, tries again and it starts. Usually that's the only time we have a problem. I will try to get her to notice exactly what lights are flashing.

I have a 2000 Disco II 115K doing the exact same thing. Sometimes the engine will just turn over and over and over and no matter how long you keep cranking on it, it WILL NOT start( Ive even pressed the gas while it was doing it with no results.) However... if I release the key and try it again it cranks right up... What could this be?
