I’m looking at these & I see deposit requirements to send your stock arms to say RTE for example.

If we’re talking 6 degree camber adjustment, has anyone else thought about a relief cut and fabrication to do there own?

5/600 make a 3/6 degree adjustment. There must be more to the geometry, isn’t there?

 

I was just thinking about this the other day....curious as to what you find out.

 

Way back when, the method to "adjust" them was to put it in a healthy press and bend it. Can't say I've researched it in many years to know if anyone does this anymore.

 

Either way the cost to purchase corrected arms if they aren't made from scratch seems ludicrous. If it can be bent or notched/bent and welded sure seems like a local shop should be able to do this for a fraction of the cost if unable to do it yourself.

 

Ive been tossing this idea as well in my mind. Get a second set of stock arms to cut and weld up. But I was going to replace the existing bushing at frame with a Johnny Joint. Just gotta find time to go to junkyard to get a set.

 

I've been waiting for a fresh d2 to show up near me, have a few parts on the wish list I'd like to snag so might as well add front and rear arms to the list
