"cat" napped !!
It was inevitable. One of my cats have been sawed off, and taken for drug money. So, does anyone have a quick fix solution for temporarily filling in the void of a missing cat?? Like what size flex hose can I use? From what auto parts store? Or just have my rig towed to muffler shop and h ave them replace the one remaining too? what are my options?
I agree. Saw the other off soon and sell it to fund the new cats.
One of mine was stolen, then before I could cut the other off myself after work they had comeback and cut/ stolen it also.. doing damage to wiring harness and 02 sensors as well

Sorry to hear about that but the advice here is good. I'd be right on getting the cat you still have sold to fund some new magnaflow cats.
If your Y pipe is starting to fail it would be a good time to replace that too but you would have to be the judge of that.

Pipe is 2" ID, 2 1/8" OD on my D1s. Likely same for D2s. Easy to measure with calipers. For alignment sake, I would wait on cutting out the second cat until the new cat is tacked in or welded completely.
If you don't mind killing some polar bears and do not have emissions or visual inspections ditch them.
I have no o2 sensor codes with pipes in place of the cats. I used cheap ebay o2 sensor adapters for the rear o2 sensors that duplicate the flow restriction results they are looking for.

Sorry to hear about the theft. Aggravating to say the least. I agree with the others here. If you're not into doing the work yourself, get the car to a muffler shop and have them remove the old Y-pipe, scrap the remaining cat, and install a universal Y-pipe with cats**. Last I checked they were about $450 on Amazon. The remaining cat should be worth a minimum of $400, probably closer to $500. Rhodium has come down considerably since the summer but it's still 7 or 8X what it was worth a couple years ago. Of course this is a pretty simple job and if you're capable of installing a piece of flex pipe then you can probably do all this yourself and save the shop charges.
I could be wrong but my understanding was that it was O2 content in the exhaust gas that all O2 sensors were measuring. A "flow restriction" has nothing to do with it.

I just sold a set of 86xxx mile (southern so no rust) oem cats to a fellow member for approximately 185 shipped...if they are worth 400 each at the scrap shop no wonder meth heads across the nation are stealing them.
I under sold...800 bucks would have paid for a nice winch bumper. For my 4 runner...the the little lady's disco. His were stolen and it's my scrap disco...maybe the rover gods will smile on me and I won't have to work on it again any time soon.

Well, on the bright side, I'm sure that after 130,000 miles, they needed to be replaced anyway. Still undecided whether to go straight pipes or install new cats. thanks, guys, for the support
